New Volume Purchasing Program from VMware – How to Start Saving Today!

VMware has launched a Volume Purchasing Program (VPP) that offers significant enhancements to VMware customers. As a VMware customer, the VPP program enables you to:
• Get significant savings and budget predictability for up to 2 years
• Earn higher discounts faster

Key features of the new VPP:
• You accumulate points for qualifying purchases over a rolling eight-quarter period.
• You automatically earn discount levels based on purchase volumes at an organization level; affiliates included.
• An easy-to-use online portal helps you track accumulated points and eligible discounts.

Eligibility:
• All customers — except U.S. federal customers who receive discounts using their current program and academic/non-profits who purchase academic SKUs — are eligible.

How to Participate
If you are new to the VPP, or your membership has expired:
1. Contact your dedicated GovConnection Account Manager or call us at 1-800-800-0019 as soon as possible.
2. Provide your contact information (name, email address, company name & address)
3. Designate a member of your company as the Primary Membership Administrator (“PMA”)
4. Name affiliates (if applicable)
5. Designate GovConnection as your Preferred Partner
6. After enrollment is complete, you will receive an email with a link to your Points Portal and your VPP membership number

If you are currently an active VPP Member:
1. You will be automatically moved into the VPP and receive a new VPP number
2. Contact your dedicated GovConnection Account Manager
3. Designate GovConnection as your Preferred Partner

VPP Discount Levels
VMware has established four discount levels that range from 4-12% for qualifying orders based on your accumulated VPP Point total. Discounts are calculated off VMware’s published, then current, local MSRP prices.

Level	Points	Discount
1	250-599	4%
2	600-999	6%
3	1,000-1,749	9%
4	1,750+	12%

• All eligible VMware products have been assigned a VPP point value
• For most products, one VPP point is roughly worth $100 USD
• The point value of a given product is the same across all geographies
• The point dollar ratio may vary over time by SKU

How VPP Works
1. Make a purchase of VMware product worth 250 points or more
2. Your initial VPP discount is determined by this initial purchase
3. Purchases made thereafter will be accumulated to determine your new eligible discount level
4. There is no minimum follow-on purchase requirement
5. Points accumulate for 8 quarters after which time earned points will roll off the total on the first day of the 9th quarter
